The benefits of Karate training go far beyond self-defense and physical conditioning. Here are five “extra benefits” that you can expect when your kid begins Karate training:

1. A good Karate program teaches respect for others.
A misconception many people have about Karate students is that they are likely to become bullies. On the contrary, Omega Karate places a heavy emphasis on respect.

2. Training in Karate cultivates humility.
Omega Karate promotes an attitude of humility in their students. By learning how to interact with other students and helping each other, humbleness of attitude is developed.

3. Learning Karate builds character.
Omega karate strives to develop the character, personality, and positive moral and ethical traits in each student. Omega Karate strives to develop the positive aspects of a student’s personality: Respect, Courtesy, Trustworthiness, Loyalty, Humility, Courage, Patience, Integrity, and Self-control.

4. A child does not need to be athletic to participate in Karate.
Many students who are not natural athletes still blossom and grow in self-confidence. Developing as a student in martial arts, athletic ability is developed.

5. In Karate, nobody is a bench warmer.
As students go through class, they learn kata, self-defense techniques, and various punches and kicks. Everyone participates! Students are constantly encouraged with positive feedback to always do their best.
